This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit creatorrules.com. It describes what the site actually does today. If we add advertising or analytics later, this page will be updated before those services go live.

2. Short version
You can read this site without giving us any personal information. There is no registration, no newsletter and no comment function. We do not run analytics software, we do not use tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers. The only data processed automatically is what any web server and content delivery network needs in order to deliver a page to you.
3. Hosting and server location
This website is hosted on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Helsinki, Finland. The server is therefore located inside the European Union, and the website data stored on it does not leave the EU.
4. Server log files
Each time a page is requested, the hosting provider’s server automatically records technical information in log files:
- the IP address of the requesting device
- the date and time of the request
- the page or file requested
- the referring page, if one was transmitted
- the browser type and version, and the operating system
This data is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify individual visitors. It is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the technically error-free delivery and the security of the website. Log files are deleted automatically after a short retention period.
5. Cloudflare (content delivery and security)
This website uses Cloudflare, a content delivery and security service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. All requests to creatorrules.com pass through Cloudflare’s network before reaching our server.
To do this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical details of your request. This is necessary to deliver pages quickly from a location near you and to protect the site against automated attacks and abusive traffic. Cloudflare may set a technically necessary cookie in order to distinguish individual visitors from automated requests; this cookie contains no information that identifies you personally and is not used for advertising.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the security, availability and performance of the website. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection for transfers of personal data to the United States. 6. Cookies
As an ordinary visitor you are not asked to accept cookies, because this site does not set any cookies that require consent. The website software (WordPress) only sets cookies when someone logs in to the administration area, which applies to the site operator and not to readers. The comment function is switched off site-wide, so no comment cookies are set either.
The only cookie you may receive is the technically necessary security cookie described in section 5.
7. Analytics and advertising
At the time of writing, this website uses no analytics service, no tracking pixels and no advertising network. Nothing on these pages profiles you or follows you across other websites.
We intend to finance the site through advertising in future. Before any advertising or measurement service is activated, this policy will be updated to describe exactly which provider is used and what it processes, and a consent banner will be introduced where consent is legally required.
8. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, the details in your message, including your email address and any personal information it contains, are stored so that we can deal with your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your message relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps.
We keep this correspondence until the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention periods prevent deletion. You may ask us to delete it at any time.
9. External links
Our articles link to official platform documentation and other external sources. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies and the privacy policy of the site you have moved to takes over. We have no control over how those sites handle your data.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to obtain information about the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16), to have data erased (Art. 17), to have processing restricted (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 21).
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence or place of work.
11. Changes to this policy
We will amend this policy whenever the way this site works changes, for example when advertising is introduced. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
